Institute for Sports Medicine

The sports medicine specialists at the UConn Institute for Sports Medicine work with athletes of all levels, including recreational, collegiate, and professional, to reach their peak performance. They offer support and education in injury prevention, performance improvement, and a return to sports with a highly personalized rehabilitation program.

The Institute also focuses on research to advance knowledge and best practices in sports medicine. Our team of athletic trainers, physical therapists, strength and conditioning specialists, and sports science research experts then applies the findings from that research to provide patients with the latest, most comprehensive education to tailor a program to address the athlete's specific needs.
