The Department of Rehabilitation Services at UConn Health offers multidisciplinary services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Therapy for patients who have functional deficits which affect life skills due to illness, injury or surgery. A comprehensive evaluation is conducted for each patient, from which an individualized treatment program is developed for each person’s unique needs and goals. Treatment sessions are conducted one-on-one with the therapist in our new Outpatient Pavilion gym. Our gym is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment including a Lyco lift/gait-assist system, Biodex Balance System, Sci-Fit and Life Fitness exercise equipment and an ADL re-training kitchen. Our therapists work closely with both UConn Health and outside providers to help patients restore and preserve their optimal health and physical function.
